The networks were set up to:
- build UK capacity in ageing research
- facilitate new collaborations (within the UK and with international partners)
- stimulate new research
- promote knowledge exchange of ageing research
The networks held workshops, symposia and early career researcher activities, developed information and training materials and provided direct support of research through pump priming funds.
